  • A new weather station has been installed replacing the Oregon WMR928NX unit. The new system is a "Davis Vantage Vue" unit providing increased accuracy and reliability.
  • The monitoring software has also been replaced with "Cumulus" from Sandaysoft. This provides more data capabilities.
  • The web pages have been redesigned to take advantage of the new facilities.

Ringlands Bay is located on the Wagonga Inlet at Narooma NSW about 390Km south of Sydney. Narooma is a delightful seaside town of approximately 8,500 people. Tourism, fishing and oyster farming are the major industries. Montague Island lies offshore with its lighthouse, seals and penguins all now part of a Marine & National Park.

The climate is temperate and is reputably the second most temperate location on earth.

The Ringlands Bay weather station is an Davis Vantage Vue with wireless sensors communicating at 915-928MHz. The weather station is monitored by an IBM laptop running Windows 2000 Pro and Cumulus weather software.
